Recipe - Crustless French Apple Pie (Low Fat)

6 cup Sliced peeled baking apples
1 One fourth teaspoon Ground cinnamon
One fourth teaspoon Ground nutmeg
1 cup Sugar
Three fourths cup Skim milk
Three fourths cup Reduced fat biscuit mix
4 Egg whites
STREUSEL
Three fourths cup Reduced fat biscuit mix
One half cup Grape Nuts cereal
1/3 cup Packed brown sugar
2 tablespoon Light margarine; softened
Coat a 10 inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl, combine
apples, cinnamon and nutmeg; place in pie plate. In a mixing bowl, beat
sugar, milk, biscuit mix and egg whites until smooth. Pour over apples.
Combine all streusel ingredients in a bowl; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle
over pie. Bake at 325 degrees for 7075 minutes or until knife inserted
near center comes out clean. Cool.
Yield: 8 servings Per serving: 305 calories,
375 mg sodium, 0 cholesterol, 3 gm fat, 5 gm protein, 67 gm
carbohydrate.
