Recipe - Crispy Baked Barbecued Chicken

One half cup Fine dry bead crumbs
1 teaspoon Brown sugar
1 teaspoon Chili powder
One half teaspoon Garlic powder
One fourth teaspoon Dry mustard
One fourth teaspoon Celery seed
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne
1 pound Chicken breast without skin
One fourth cup Melted butter or margarine
This is recipe for crispy barbecued chicken but I use the same breading on
pork chops and it is very good. It comes from a local Homemakers Club.
Combine bread crumbs, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, dry
mustard, celery seed, and cayenne. Lightly coat each piece of chicken with
the melted butter, then roll in the crumb mixture to coat. Arrange chicken
in a shallow baking pan and sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture.
Bake uncovered in a 375 degree oven for about 50 minutes.
I follow the same directions for pork chops but reduce the baking time. We
really enjoy the taste the breading gives.
