Recipe - Creamy Turkey Pie

1 lg Onion; chopped
3 Ribs celery with leaves; cut
into 1/4"
6 tablespoon Butter or margarine
6 tablespoon Allpurpose flour
1 teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Each: pepper and garlic
powder
One half teaspoon Each: dried thyme; savory &
parsley
1 One half cup Milk
4 cup Cooked turkey; cubed
5 md Carrots; cut into 1/4"
slices
1 cup Turkey or chicken broth; 12
cups
10 ounce Frozen peas
In a large kettle, saute onion and celery in butter until tender, about 10
minutes. Stir in the flour and seasonings; gradually add milk, stirring
constantly until thickened. Add turkey and carrots. Add enough broth until
soup is desired consistency. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add peas;
cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Yield: 68 servings.
