FILLING
2 pack (3 oz) cream cheese
2 tablespoon Sugar
1 Egg
One half cup Chopped peeled apples
BREAD
1 pack Apple Cinnamon or Cranberry
bread mix
One half cup Chopped peeled apples
Three fourths cup Wate
3 tablespoon Oil
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Almond or vanilla
TOPPING
One fourth cup Sliced almonds
Apple Jelly
This is a Pillsbury Recipe from I think it was Woman's Day. I got it about
1991 just before my hubby was hurt in the Persian Gulf War. We had a party
at work and I took this in. It's really great!!
Grease and flour 8 x 4 or 9 x 5 loaf pan. Blend all filling ingredients
except apples. Beat until smooth. Stir in apple. Set aside. Combine all
bread ingredients. Stir by hand until moistened. Pour One half of batter into
prepared pan. Spoon filling over batter. Spoon remaining batter on top of
filling. Sprinkle with almonds. AFTER BREAD IS COOLED COMPLETELY brush with
melted apple jelly. Store in refrigerator.
8 x 4 pan (7085 min) 9x 5 pan (6575 min) at 350 degrees.
