Recipe - Creamed Spinach A La Lawrys

2 pack Frozen chopped spinach; 10oz
each; defrosted & drained
4 sl Crisp bacon; finely chopped
One half cup Onion; finely chopped
2 teaspoon Garlic; chopped
2 tablespoon Flour
1 teaspoon Lawry's seasoned salt
1 teaspoon Black pepper
1 cup Milk
1 cup Halfandhalf
Put spinach through a meat grinder or chop fine.
Fry the bacon in a heavybottom saucepan until golden brown. Add onion and
cook until tender. Add garlic. Remove from heat. Add flour, salt and
pepper. Blend thoroughly. Slowly add milk and halfandhalf. Return to heat
and stir until thickened. Add spinach and mix thoroughly. Cook for 3 to 4
minutes.
Makes about 4 servings.
Nutritional analysis: per serving: 210 calories, 13g fat, 577mg sodium,
38mg cholesterol. 51% calories from fat.
