Recipe - Cranberry Chutney 4

1 Bag Ocean Spray cranberries
1 md Red onion, chopped
One half cup Almonds, whole
1 md Apple, chopped
2 Navel oranges, chopped
1 cup Dry red wine (cabernet
sauvignon, merlot, etc.)
1 cup Demerara sugar (or opt for
light brown or turbinado
sugar)
1 teaspoon Grated orange peel
One half teaspoon Each: allspcice, cinnmon,
ginger
One fourth Teapsoon ground clove
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Combine all ingredients in a stainless steel pot.
Bring to a boil uncovered. Then lower to a simmer and cover for for the
remaining cooking time: about 1 hour. The mixture should be thick like a
good finished jam or marmalade.
