Recipe - Crackling Biscuits

One half pack Yeast
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoon Lukewarm water
1 teaspoon Pepper
1 Egg yolk
One half cup Sour cream
2 cup Flour
2 Eggs
1 cup Cracklings or crisp chopped
bacon
Soak the yeast in lukewarm water with sugar. After 15 minutes, blend in
salt, pepper, whole eggs, cracklings and cream. Stir in the flour and knead
well. Roll out One half inch thick. Cut into 2 inch rounds and arrange on an
ungreased baking sheet. Make diagonal cuts on top of each biscuit, brush
with egg yolk and let rise in warm place for 30 minutes. Bake at 350 F,
until browned, about 15 minutes. Makes 15 20 biscuits. Posted to TNT
