Recipe - Coney Sauce
Categories: None, Coney Sauce
One half pound Ground beef
One fourth cup Water
One fourth cup Chopped onion
1 Clove garlic; minced (I use
more)
1 cn (8oz) seasoned tomato sauce
One half teaspoon Each chili powder;
monosodium glutamate (I
don't use) and salt
I use the Coney Islands recipe from my copy of the Better Homes and Gardens
Cookbook that I received as a shower gift back in 1963.
Brown ground beef slowly but thoroughly, breaking with a fork until fine.
Add remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Makes sauce for
12 Coneys. Posted to EATL Digest by Sharon Ravert
