Recipe - Cinnamon Breakfast Cake

2 cup Flour
4 teaspoon Baking powder
One half teaspoon Salt
One fourth cup Seedless raisins
2 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
4 tablespoon Brown sugar
4 tablespoon Shortening
1 Egg, well beaten
One half cup Milk
1 tablespoon Melted butter or butter
substitute
Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, and salt. Add brown
sugar; cut in shortening with 2 spatulas. Add egg and sufficient milk to
form a soft dough. Add raisins. Spread in welloiled and floured cake tin.
Pour melted butter over top of cake. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and
cinnamon. Bake in hot oven (435ø F) 2025 minutes. Mrs. Murray Nevin,
