Recipe - Cinnamon Apple Crisp

1 tablespoon Red cinnamon candies(seetip)
1 cup Light brown sugar firmly
1 cup Boiling water
6 medium Apples,peeled cored and One half cup Butter or margarine
~ melted cut or sliced up Frozen whipped topping(thaw) 1 package DH*Moist Deluxe
White Cake Crushed red cinnamon candies Mix 1. Preheat oven to 350 F 2.
Dissolve 1 tablespoon cinnamon candies in boiling water. arrange apple
slices in ungreased 13x9x2" pan. Pour cinnamon flavored water over top. 3.
Combine cake mix, brown sugar and melted butter in large bowl. Stir until
thoroughly blended. ( Mixture will be crumbly.) Sprinkle crumbs over apple
slices. Bake at 350 F for 5055 minutes or until lightly browned and
bubbly.Serve with whipped topping, crushed cinnamon candies and mint
leaves, if desired. TIP: You can substitute 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for
the 1 tablespoon red cinnamon candies. stir into cake mix.
