2 cup Sugar
2 cup Flour
3 tablespoon Baking powder
1 cup Oil
4 Eggs
2 One half teaspoon Vanilla
1/3 cup Orange juice
6 Apples; pared; thinly
cut or sliced up , dropped into lemon
water and drained well
1 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
Mix together well the sugar and cinnamon. Sift other dry ingredients
together and put in a large bowl; add eggs, oil, vanilla and orange juice,
mixing well; pour One fourth of batter into a greased and floured tube pan; top
with One fourth of apples; sprinkle with One fourth of sugar/cinnamon; continue layering,
ending with sugar/cinnamon; bake in a preheated 350~ oven for 1 One fourth to 1
One half hours; cool on a wire rack.
Note. May be eaten plain or frosted with a simple lemon, cinnamon or nutmeg
flavored frosting. Chuck in Pok.
