Recipe - Chocolate Sheath Cake

2 cup Flour
2 cup Sugar
1 Stick butter or margarine
One half cup Shortening (or oil)
4 tablespoon Cocoa
1 cup Water
One half cup Buttermilk
1 teaspoon Soda
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Sift flour and sugar together in bowl. Combine butter, shortening,
cocoa, and water in saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over flour
mixture and stir well. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs, cinnamon, and
vanilla; mix well. Pour into wellgreased pan 16"x11"x1" deep. Bake
twenty minutes 400 deg.
Icing: 1 stick butter or margarine 4 T cocoa 6 T milk 1 box powdered
sugar 1 t vanilla 1 cup pecans
Melt butter, cocoa, milk. Bring to boil. Remove from heat, add
powdered sugar, vanilla, pecans. Beat well, spread on cake while hot
and leave in pan. Start icing five minutes before cake is done.
