Recipe - Chocolate Macaroon Squares

TOPPING
1 cn (14oz) sweetened condensed
milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 Egg
1 cn (3.5oz) flaked coconut;
divided
1 cup Chopped pecans
1 pack (6oz) Nestle Toll House
semisweet chocolate
BASE
morsels
1 pack (18.5oz) chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup Butter; softened
1 Egg
Topping: In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract
and egg; beat until well blended. Stir in 1 cup coconut, pecans and Nestle
Toll House semisweet chocolate morsels. Set aside.
Base: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine cake mix, butter
and egg; mix until crumbly. Press into greased 13x9inch baking pan.
Spread Topping over Base. Sprinkle remaining One half cup coconut on top. Bake
at 350 degrees for 3040 minutes. NOTE: Center may appear loose but will
set upon cooling. Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into 2inch squares.
Makes 2 dozen 2inch squares.
