Recipe - Chocolate Custard Sauce Grand Marnier

One half cup Sugar
1 One half teaspoon Cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 One half cup Milk
One half cup Heavy cream
1 pack (6oz) Nestle Toll House
semisweet chocolate
morsels
1 Egg yolk
1 tablespoon Orange flavored liqueur
In heavy gauge saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually add
milk and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until
mixture comes to a boil; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add Nestle Toll
House semisweet chocolate morsels; stir until morsels are melted and
mixture is smooth. In cup, beat egg yolk; blend in 1 tablespoon chocolate
mixture. Return to mixture in saucepan; mix well. Stir in orange flavored
liqueur. Transfer to small bowl. Cool completely. Refrigerate until ready
to serve. Let stand 20 minutes before serving. Serve over pound or angel
food cake, fresh fruit or poached pears. Makes about 2One fourth cups sauce.
