Recipe - Chocolate Chip Bars

2 cup Flour
One half cup Wheat germ (regular or honey
crunch)
One half teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Salt (optional)
1 cup Butter, softened
Three fourths cup Firmly packed brown sugar
Three fourths cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
6 ounce (1 c) chocolate chips
Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, wheat germ, baking soda and
salt. Mix well. Beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until well blended. Gradually add flour
mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread into 15x10 inch jelly
roll pan. Bake 2025 minutes, until golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Cut
into 2 One half x 1 One half inch bars.
