Recipe - Chocolate Cherry Cake And Frosting

CAKE
1 pack Devils food cake mix (with
pudding in mix)
One half cup Dairy sour cream
2 Eggs; beaten
1 teaspoon Almond extract
21 ounce Cherry pie filling
FROSTING
6 ounce Semisweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoon Margarine or butter
2 One half cup Powdered sugar; sifted
One half teaspoon Almond extract
3 tablespoon Milk (to 5 tb)
CAKE: Mix together cake mix, sour cream, eggs, almond extract and pie
filling BY HAND. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13inch pan. Bake in a
350 degree oven for 4550 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the
center of the cake comes out clean. Cool 510 minutes and top with
frosting.
FROSTING: Melt chocolate chips and margarine or butter together. Stir in
powdered sugar, almond extract and milk to spreading consistency. Spread
warm frosting on warm cake.
