Recipe - Chocolate Caramel Squares

1 pack (14oz) caramels
2/3 cup Evaporated milk
One fourth cup Butter or margarine; melted
1 pack German chocolate cake mix
1 pack (6oz) semisweet chocolate
chips
1 cup Chopped nuts
Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk. Set aside. Grease & flour a 13x9inch pan.
In large bowl, pour cake mix, melted butter, 1/3 cup milk & One half cup nuts.
Mix by hand until mix is the consistency of pie crust. Press half of
mixture into bottom of pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Remove from oven &
while hot, sprinkle with chocolate chips, then One half cup nuts. Top wiht
melted caramel mixture. Take remaining dough, crumble into small pieces &
sprinkle over caramel. Bake 1516 minutes longer. Cool & cut into squares.
