Recipe - Chocolate-Chip Cake

One half cup Brown sugar,packed
One half cup Walnuts,chopped
1 cup Semisweetchocolate pieces
3 cup Cake flour
1 Three fourths cup Sugar
1 One fourth cup Milk
One half cup Shortening
2 One half teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 One half teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 Eggs
1. Prepare topping: In small bowl, mix brown sugar, walnuts, and One half cup
semisweetchocolate mini pieces; set aside. Preheat oven to 350'F. Grease
and flour 13x9" baking pan.
2. Into large bowl, measure flour and remaining ingredients except
remaining mini pieces. With mixer at low speed, beat until mixed,
constantly scraping bowl. Increase speed to high; beat 2 minutes,
occasionally scraping bowl. Stir in reserved mini pieces; pour into pan.
3. Spread topping over batter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, until toothpick
inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack.
