Recipe - Chile-Olive Dip

Ingredients:

2 One half pound Fresh pears; peeled, cored
and cut or sliced up
1 cup Brown sugar; firmly packed
Three fourths cup Cider vinegar
5 tablespoon Chpped onion
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Chile powder
One fourth teaspoon Cumin
2 tablespoon Chpoped pimiento
4 tablespoon Chopped green anaheim chiles
1 Serrano chile; seeded and
finely chopped

From a pamplet I got from Shepard's seeds. Place all ingredients in a heavy
saucepan; stir to blend. Cover and cook the mixture over low heat for 30
minutes, adding an additional One fourth cup water if necessary. Uncover and
continue cooking for about 25 minutes or just until the mixture is
thickend, stirring frequently. Serve cold.
