Recipe - Chicken Murphy

2 Boneless; skinless chicken
breast halves
1/3 cup Dry white wine
One fourth teaspoon Basil
One fourth teaspoon Oregano
1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder
Pepper; to taste
2 teaspoon Butter
1 4oz jar undrained sweet
peppers
One fourth pound Halved fresh mushrooms
Place chicken in lightly greased casserole. Combine wine with spices; mix
well and pour over chicken. Cover and chill 8 hours.
Remove chicken from refrigerator; let stand 30 minutes. Brush butter on
chicken; pour peppers and liquid over top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees
for 40 minutes. Uncover and add mushrooms. Bake uncovered, an additional 20
minutes or until done.
With large slotted spoon, transfer chicken and vegetables to serving
platter. Delicious with pasta cooked in juices from the chicken.
Notes: Chicken breasts marinated in wine and baked. Named after George
