Recipe - Chewy Exercise Bars

Categories: Dessert, Chewy Exercise Bars
Ingredients:

1 cup Rolled oats
One half cup Whole wheat flour
One fourth teaspoon Baking powder
One fourth teaspoon Baking soda
1/8 cup Butter or margerine
One half cup Nonfat plain yogurt
1/3 cup Honey
One half cup Brown sugar; firmly packed
One half teaspoon Vanilla
Choose one of the following
or make up your own flavor
(almost any dried fruit and
any type of nut can be
chopped up and used in
these):

FLAVOR #1
One half cup Dates or raisins
One half cup Pecans

FLAVOR #2
One half cup Apples
One half cup Walnuts
One half teaspoon Cinnamon

FLAVOR #3
One half cup Dried apricots
One half cup Almonds

FLAVOR #4
One half cup Chocolate chips
One half cup Nuts

I don't know how close these are to Kudos, but I like them.

Chop up whatever you decide to flavor your bars with. Mix this with the
oats, flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl. In another
bowl, mix together the butter, yogurt, brown sugar, and vanilla. Stir this
into the dry ingredients. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x12 inch pan and
bake at 325 F until the top just turns brown (about 3040 minutes). Cut
when mostly cooled.

Note: These should come out fairly thin.
