Recipe - Cherokee Casserole

1 pound Ground beef
1 tablespoon Cooking oil
Three fourths cup Chopped onion
1 One half teaspoon Salt
1 ds Pepper
1/8 teaspoon Oregano
1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon Thyme
1 cn (16oz) tomatoes
1 cn Cream of mushroom soup
1 cn Sliced mushrooms
1 cup Cooked rice
2 (up to)
3 sl Cheese
Brown meat in oil. Add onions & cook until tender. Stir in all other
ingredients except cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer 5 minutes.
Spoon into baking dish & lattice cheese on top. Broil until cheese melts.
