Recipe - Cheese-Onion Bake

Ingredients:
Cheese-Onion Bake recipe makes 12 Servings
5 md Onions
One fourth cup Butter (or marg.)
One fourth cup Flour, allpurpose
2 cup Milk
One half teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
2 cup American cheese; shredded
Cut onions into thin slices; separate into reings. Place onion rings in an
ungreased 1One half quart casserole. Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour,
and gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add salt, pepper, and cheese; stir until cheese has melted. Pour sauce over
onions. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees about 45 minutes.
