Recipe - Cashew Cookies

1 1/3 cup Unsalted coarsely chopped
cashews
2 cup Unbleached white flour
Three fourths teaspoon Baking powder
Three fourths teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Salt
Three fourths cup Plus
2 tablespoon Light brown sugar
One half cup Unsalted butter
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
One half cup Sour cream

These are from Rose Levy Berenbaum's "Christmas Cookies," and are quite
good. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Soften butter. Mix flour, baking powder
and soda, salt, and cashews. Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs and
vanilla. Mix in sour cream. Add flour mixture. Drop dough by teaspoons onto
greased cookie sheets. Bake 1015 minutes until golden brown. Makes roughly
6 dozen.
