Recipe - Caribbean Pork Chops With Apple Island Sauce

2/3 cup Water
1/3 cup Chopped onion
1/3 cup Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
2 teaspoon Light brown sugar
1 teaspoon Chickenflavor instant
bouillon
Three fourths teaspoon Ground allspice
Three fourths teaspoon Black pepper
Three fourths teaspoon Cinnamon
Three fourths teaspoon Thyme leaves
One fourth teaspoon Cayenne pepper; to One half tsp.
4 Boneless pork loin chops
Combine all ingredients except meat. Place meat in shallow dish or plastic
bag, Pour marinade over meat. Cover; marinate in refrigerator 4 hours or
overnight. Remove meat from marinade; heat marinade. Grill or broil as
desired, basting frequently with marinade. Serve with Apple Island Sauce.
Refrigerate leftovers.
APPLE ISLAND SAUCE: In small saucepan, combine 1One half cups chunky
applesauce, One half cup water, 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sugar and 2
teaspoons lemon juice. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 to 15
minutes. Makes 4 servings.
