Recipe - Caramelized Onion Dip

1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Peanut oil
Large red onion, cut or sliced up
One half cup Sour cream
One half cup Mayonnaise
One fourth teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
crackers or chips
Saute onion in butter and oil until caramelized (golden brown), about 20
minutes. Cool and combine the remaining ingredients. Mix well and chill for
at least 1 hour. Serve with crackers or chips.
