Recipe - Caramel Nut Slices

One half cup Shortening
One half cup Butter
2 cup Brown sugar
2 Eggs
3 One half cup Flour
One half teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Soda
1 cup Finely chopped nuts
Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour, salt and soda.
Form into rolls. Roll in waxed paper. Chill overnight or freeze for later
use. Bake at 400 for 810 minutes. Makes 12 dozen.
