Recipe - Caramel-Spice-Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

2/3 cup Flour
One half teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Baking soda
One fourth teaspoon Cinnamon
One fourth teaspoon Nutmeg
One half cup Sugar
One half cup Light brown sugar; packed
One half cup Butter or margarine;
softened
1 Egg
One half teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 One half cup Quickcooking oats
One fourth cup Chopped walnuts

In large bowl mix flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add
sugars, butter, egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stir in oats and
walnuts. Shape in two 1One half inch diameter rolls. Wrap in waxed paper; chill
thoroughly at least 3 hours. Slice One fourth inch thick. Place 2 inches apart on
ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 10 to 12 minutes
or until golden brown. Immediately remove to racks to cool.

NOTES : These are crisp, a little lacy and subtly spiced!
