Recipe - Cape Breton Oat Cakes

2 cup Rolled oats
2 cup Bran
2 cup White flour
1 cup White sugar
1 cup Shortening
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Soda dissolved in:
Three fourths cup (scant) warm water

Mix shortening with dry ingredients and add water gradually. Roll on
floured board and cut out around inverted saucer and then into 4 sections.
Bake at 350 for 12 minuted or until done.
