6 Enriched rolls
Butter; softened
1 tablespoon Chopped uncooked bacon
2 tablespoon Chopped onion
6 tablespoon Canned cut or sliced up mushrooms
1 teaspoon Snipped parsley
18 sl Canadianstyle bacon; 1/8
inch thick
6 sl Swiss cheese
6 Thin green pepper rings
Paprika
These "Savory Sandwiches" are from the September, 1974 issue.
Split and butter rolls. Saute chopped bacon, onion, mushrooms and parsley
for about 5 minutes. Arrange 3 slices Canadian bacon on each bottom half of
roll and top with mushroom mixture and 1 slice cheese. Place a green pepper
ring on each cheese slice; sprinkle paprika inside of green pepper ring.
Place sandwiches on baking sheet and broil 6 inches from heat until cheese
melts, about 3 to 5 minutes. Serve sandwich openfaced. Garnish with cherry
tomato and olive on skewer. Makes 6 sandwiches. Posted to EATL Digest by
