Recipe - Cafe Cream Pie

CHOCONUT CRUST
1 pack (6oz) Nestle Toll House
semisweet chocolate
morsels
1 tablespoon Vegetable shortening
1 One half cup Finely chopped nuts
FILLING
One half pound Marshmallows (about 40
large)
1/3 cup Milk
One fourth teaspoon Salt
3 tablespoon Coffee flavored liqueur
3 tablespoon Vodka
1 One half cup Heavy cream; whipped
ChocoNut Crust: Combine over hot (not boiling) water, Nestle Toll House
semisweet chocolate morsels and shortening; stir until morsels are melted
and mixture is smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly on bottom and up sides
(not over rim) of foillined 9inch pie pan. Chill until firm (about 1
hour). Lift chocolate crust out of pan; peel off foil and place crust back
into pie pan or onto serving plate. Chill until ready to use.
Filling: Combine over hot (not boiling) water, marshmallows, milk and
salt; stir until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat. Add coffee
flavored liqueur and vodka; stir until well blended. Transfer to medium
bowl. Chill until slightly thickened (about 4560 minutes), stirring
occasionally. Gently fold in whipped cream. Pour into prepared ChocoNut
Crust; chill until firm (about 1 hour). Garnish as desired. Makes one
9inch pie.
