Recipe - Cabbage Patch Stew

1 pound Ground chuck
1 Onion; minced
One half cup Diced celery
One fourth cup Diced green pepper; optional
16 ounce Can stewed tomatoes
10 Three fourths ounce Can tomato soup
2 cup Water
1 One half cup Coarsely chopped cabbage
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Chili powder; to taste
1 tablespoon Brown sugar

Cook and stir ground chuck in Dutch oven until light brown. Add onion,
celery and green pepper; cook several minutes. Stir in stewed tomatoes,
soup, water, cabbage, salt, pepper, chili powder and brown sugar. Heat to
boiling. Reduce and simmer until cabbage is tender. Serves 6.
