Recipe - Buttermilk Pralines

2 cup White Sugar
1 cup Buttermilk
1 teaspoon Soda Water
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 One half tablespoon Butter Or Margarine
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cup Pecans; broken up
Mix sugar, buttermilk, soda, and salt in a heavy 3quart saucepan, and cook
over medium heat to softball stage. Cool. Beat in butter and vanilla and
stir in pecans. Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper to cool. Work fast. It
it starts to harden in the pan, add a few drops of buttermilk, reheat, and
stir well.
