Recipe - Butter Bud Cookies

One half cup Brown sugar
One half cup White sugar
One half cup Butter
One half cup Shortening
1 Egg
2 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
1 teaspoon Soda
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Cream butter,shortening & vanilla, add beaten egg. Add dry ingredients and
mix well. Roll tsps. full into balls, put on baking sheet and press finger
in center fill with jam or jelly. Bake in 350 oven 10 12 min.
