Recipe - Buried Marshmallows

2/3 cup Brown sugar; packed
One half cup Shortening
1 Egg
One half teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Salt
1 One half cup Flour
2 tablespoon Milk
One fourth cup Maraschino cherry juice
2 Sq unsweetened chocolate;
melted
1 teaspoon Vanilla
One half cup Chopped maraschino cherries
lg Marshmallows; cut in half
1 cup Chocolate chips; melted
One fourth cup Shortening

Mix together: brown sugar, One half c. shortening, egg, baking soda, salt,
flour, milk, cherry juice, unsweetened chocolate, vanilla, and chopped
cherries. Drop by rounded teaspoons. Bake 350 degrees for 1215 minutes.
Immediately after removing from oven, top with One half large marshmallow, cut
side down. Pour over marshmallow: chocolate chips melted with One fourth c.
shortening.
