Recipe - Brown Sugar Squares

2 One half cup Brown sugar
1 Three fourths cup Evaporated milk
2 tablespoon Corn sirup
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 tablespoon Butter or butter substitute
1 cup Coconut
1 cup Chopped almonds
Few grains salt

Boil sugar, sirup, and milk to soft ball stage (234 238 F). Remove from
fire. Add butter. Cool to room temperature. Beat until thick and creamy.
Add coconut, nuts, salt, and flavoring. Pour into wellbuttered, shallow
