Recipe - Broiled Parmesan Potatoes (Oregon)

2 tablespoon Margarine; or butter, melted
1 teaspoon Dried basil; crushed
One half teaspoon Paprika
One fourth teaspoon Garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
2 md Potatoes; diagonally cut or sliced up
to 1/4inch thick
One fourth cup Grated parmesan
OR romano cheese
Stir together margarine or butter basil, paprika, garlic powder and pepper.
Place potato slices in a single layer on the unheated rack of a broiler
pan. Brush margarine mixture over both sides of potato slices. Broil about
5inches from the heat for 8 to 9 minutes until potatoes begin to brown.
Turn potatoes, using a wide spatula. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil for an
additional 4 to 6 minutes until potatoes are tender.
