Recipe - Bread Pudding - City Tavern

1 One half qt To 3 quart Casserole dish
12 Eggs
1 qt Milk
1 One half cup Sugar
1/8 teaspoon Egg shade (optional)
1 One half teaspoon Vanilla
1 One half ounce Dark rum, 1One half shots,
approximately
One fourth cup Dark brown sugar
4 tablespoon Butter
2 pound Day old bread; cubed
Mix eggs, milk, sugar and flavorings in a large bowl. Grease casserole
dish. Place bread cubes in casserole dish. Pour liguid mixture over bread
cubes. Top with butter and brown sugar. Cover with aluminum foil and bake
in a water bath at 300 degrees until pudding sets ( approx. 40 minutes )
