Recipe - Branded Potatoes

Ingredients:

2 Baking Potatoes
Liquid Browning Sauce
1 tablespoon Butter Or Margarine
One fourth teaspoon Garlic Salt

Ask an adult to help. Do not peel potatoes. Wash and dry with paper towels.
Cut potatoes in half lengthwise.

Using the pointed end of a bottle opener, apple corer, vegetable peeler or
the end of a table knife, carefully carve your initials, numbers or other
designs in the rounded sides of the potatoes (ask an adult to help).

Using a cottencovered swab, a pastry brush or a very small, clean brush,
paint the carvedout part with liquid browning sauce.

Put 1 tablespoon butter or margaring into a 8 inch round microwavable dish.

Microwave uncovered on High 15 to 30 seconds or until melted.

Sprinle the flat sides of the potatoes with One fourth teaspoon garlic salt.

Put potatoes with the flat sides down in a circle in the melted margarine.

Microwave uncovered on High 4 minutes. Turn the dish One half turn, Microwave 2
to 4 minutes longer or until the potatoes are tender when poked with a
fork.

Let stand uncovered 5 minutes before serving.

NOTES : If you do not have liquid browning sauce, use molasses (potato my
taste a bit sweet). Round, short potatoes will take a little longer to
microwave than flat, long potatoes.
