Recipe - Braised Short Ribs Of Beef Wblack Beans

1 tablespoon Fermented black beans
1 One half pound Beef short ribs
One half teaspoon Salt
1 Clove garlic
1 tablespoon Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Sherry
1 Or
2 tablespoon Oil
1 cup Water
1. Soak fermented black beans.
2. With a cleaver, chop ribs in 1 by 2inch sections. Sprinkle with salt.
Let stand 30 minutes.
3. Mince garlic and mash with soaked black beans. Stir in soy sauce and
sherry.
4. Heat oil. Brown rib sections lightly. Add black bean mixture and
stirfry 2 minutes more.
5. Add water and bring quickly to a boil. Then simmer, covered, until done
(about 45 minutes).
