Recipe - Boston Brown Bread (Microwave)

1 One fourth cup Whole wheat flour
1 One fourth cup Corn meal
1 One fourth cup Rye flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Salt
2 One half cup Buttermilk
1 cup Dark molasses
1 cup Raisins
Sift together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add the
buttermilk, molasses and raisins. Mix by hand until well blended. Divide
the mixture into 2 parts. Place each in a waxed paper lined baking dish
that are 10 x 6 x 13/4. Cover each with a plastic wrap. Microwave one loaf
at a time on medium (50%) for 22 24 minutes. Turn dish a half turn
halfway through cooking. Remove plastic wrap. Place on a solid surface for
about 10 minutes before removing from baking dish.
Makes 2 loaves
