Recipe - Boilermaker Sauce

2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
1 md Onion; finely chopped
2 lg Garlic cloves; minced
1 Bottle chili sauce;
(12ounce)
Three fourths cup Beer
One fourth cup Unsulfured; (light) molasses
3 tablespoon Cider vinegar
3 tablespoon Bourbon whiskey
1 One half teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
One half teaspoon Hot pepper sauce; (such as
Tabasco)
Heat oil in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and
garlic; saute until tender, about 8 minutes. Reduce heat. Add chili
sauce, beer, molasses, vinegar, bourbon and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer until reduced to 2 cups, stirring occasionally, about 25
minutes. Stir in hot pepper sauce. (can be made up to 1 month ahead.
Cover; chill.)
Makes about 2 cups.
