Recipe - Blue Margarita
Categories: Beverage, Blue Margarita
2 Parts tequila
1 Part cointreau
1 Part Rose's lime juice
1 dr Blue food coloring per 24
drinks
Lime wedges (One fourth to 1/6 an
average lime)
Salt
This is a festive (and potent) margarita recipemy preference is to use
the best tequila you can get (go ahead, use SIPPING tequila!) and serve on
the rocks with salt! Oh yeah, and it looks nice in those margarita glasses
with the blue edging!
Rub glass rim with lime wedge and dip in salt. Squeeze remaining juice
into glass over ice cubes. Mix liquid ingredients well in a shaker and
pour over ice. Garnish glass with another lime wedge.
Substitutions:
1. If you prefer "frozen" margaritas, pour liquid ingredients in a blender,
add enough ice to increase volume by about one third, and blend!
2. 1 part Blue Curacao may be substituted for the Cointreau/food coloring
combo but the resulting flavor is slightly sweeter
