Categories: Cooking Liv, Import, Blondie Squares
Ingredients:

2 One half cup All purpose flour
One half teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 cup Soft unsalted butter
1 One fourth cup Sugar
Three fourths cup Dark brown sugar
2 lg Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
One half cup Coarsely chopped walnuts or
pecans
One 12ounce bag semisweet
chocolate chips

Butter a 10 by 15 by 1inch pan and line with buttered parchment or foil.

Set a rack in the middle level of the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda and stir well to
mix. Beat the butter

with the sugars until combined, then beat in the eggs, one at a time, and
the vanilla extract. Stir in the flour mixture, the nuts and chips. Spread
the batter in the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes, until well
risen and firm to the touch. Cool in the pan on a rack. After cooling,
invert to a cutting board and peel away the paper. Cut into 2inch squares.

Yield: 3 dozen 2inch squares
