Recipe - Black Bean And Sausage Posole

12 ounce Ground turkey sausage
1 cn Reducedsodium chicken
broth; (14.5 oz.)
1 cn Black beans; (15 oz.) rinsed
and drained
1 cn Golden hominy; (14.5 ounce)
rinsed and drained
1 cn Mexicanstyle stewed
tomatoes; (14.5 ounce) NOT
drained
1 cup Frozen loosepack minced hash
browns
One half cup Sweet green peppers; chopped
1/3 cup Onion; chopped
1 Clove garlic; minced
One half teaspoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Dried oregano; crushed
In large saucepan, brown sausage. Add green pepper, onion, garlic and cook
until tender. Stir in broth, black beans, hominy, tomatoes, potatoes, chili
powder and oregano. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30
minutes.
Serves 6.
NOTES : Made 11697. Added One half tsp. more chili powder and 1 green chili,
chopped. Used Jimmy Dean pork sausage.
