Recipe - Bess Trumans Ozark Pudding

1 Egg, beaten
Three fourths cup Sugar
1/3 cup Flour
One half cup Walnuts, chopped
1 One fourth teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup Heavy cream, whipped
1 Cooking apple, peeled
4 tablespoon Rum
1 pn Salt
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat the already beaten egg with sugar until
light in color. In a seperate bowl, sift flour baking powder and salt.
Blend with the egg mixture and fold in the apple, nuts, and vanilla. Pour
into a greased shallow 1 One half quart baking dish and bake 30 minutes. At
serving time, whip the cream, flavor with rum and garnish the cooled
pudding.
