_Martha Stewart's Menus for Entertaining_ has a recipe for DuckFilled
Beggar's Purses. Don't see why you couldn't substitute your filling of
choice. I'm not sure what to substitute for the chive tie, I'm sure
someone would have a good suggestion. Here are the assembly instructions,
excluding the duck filling. I don't know how big the ones in the movie
were, but she mentions these being bite sized. Hope it works for you!
"To assemble, spread 1 sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface keeping the
rest of the dough covered with a damp dish towel. Brush the entire surface
with butter, then top with another sheet of phyllo. Repeat twice for a
total of 4 sheeps of phylo dough one on top of another brushing butter
between each layer. Using a sharp knife cut the layered dough into 6
squares. Place a heaping tablespoon of filling in the center of each
phyllo square. Pull the corners up to the center and gather the dough
pinching it closed over the filling. Tie each bundle securely with a single
chive. Using sharp scissors, snip the dough off one inch above the chive
ribbon so that the tops are even. The purses can be frozed on
parchmentlined sheets, well wrapped, at this point. To serve, preheat the
oven to 350 F. Place the purses on baking sheeps and bake for 1015
minutes until golden brown."
