Recipe - Basil Marinated Tomatoes

2 lg Ripe tomatoes; cut or sliced up into 6
thick slices (total)
1 md Sized red onion; cut or sliced up into
6 slices
2 tablespoon Coarsely chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoon Olive oil
4 teaspoon Red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Sugar
One fourth teaspoon Salt
Place the tomato slices in a shallow dish. Top each tomato slice with an
onion slice. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; stir until
well blended, then drizzle over the tomatoes and onions. Cover and chill
for 2 hours before serving.
NOTE: Serve as is or as a gardenfresh topping for grilled burgers.
