Recipe - Banana-Spice Bars

Ingredients:

1 cup Mashed ripe bananas (about 2
medium)
2/3 cup Packed brown sugar
One fourth cup Vegetable oil
2 Eggs
2 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice
One half cup Chopped nuts
Browned Butter Frosting
(below)

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

GREASE rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Beat bananas, brown sugar, oil, and
eggs in large bowl on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 1 minute.
Stir in baking mix, pumpkin pie spice and nuts. Spread in pan.

BAKE until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 25
minutes. Cool; frost with Browned Butter Frosting. Cut into bars, about 3x1
inch.

Makes 3 dozen

ApplesauceSpice Bars: Substitute 1 cup applesauce for the bananas.

(High Altitude Directions [35006500 feet]: heat oven to 375 degrees.
Decrease sugar to One half cup and baking

mix to 1 Three fourths cups; add One fourth cup all purpose flour.)
