Recipe - Baked Apples A Lorange

Ingredients:

6 md Cooking apples
One fourth cup Unsweetened apple juice
One fourth cup ;water
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
2 Whole cloves
1 (4inch) stick cinnamon;
broken in half
1/3 cup Reducedcalorie orange
marmalade
6 small Gingersnap cookies; crushed

Core apples to within One half inch from bottom; peel top third of each
apple. Place apples in a 12" x 8" x 2" baking dish; add apple juiceand
next 4 ingredients. Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 30 minutes, basting often
with cooking liquid. Remove apples from oven; spoon equal amounts of
marmalade into center of each apple, and sprinkle with gingersnap crumbs.
Bake an additional 5 minutes or until apples are done.

Yield: 6 servings. (127 calories per serving.)

and 36mg calcium
